About Me

I’ve recently moved to Germany due to a carrer change (randomely bacame a flight attendant haha). I live right on the border with the Netherlands, so I’m in the perfect location to explore more of Europe and this is my current mission! Most of the travelling I did was further away from home (my home home is Lithuania).

I'm a passionate traveler, trying to get out of the house whenever I have some time, either it's a day trip or a month-long holiday.

I'm an active person in general and I like to keep myself busy with my whole bunch of interests. I love learning new things and trying to always have something exciting to look forward to.

I'm a kind person and I can be quite funny when I like people around me haha. I love adventures and I'm always happy to find partners in crime!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love exploring the world and being amazed by the beauty of it, but very often it's people and not the sights itself who create the best memory of the travel. I've met so many wonderful people on Couchsurfing who shaped the way I see one or another place and with whom I'm still friends until this day. Also, locals recommend waaay better places than any traveling guide.
I want to help to create good memories for other travelers too, so whenever I can, I'm more than happy to host and show people around.

Music, Movies, and Books

Probably my favorite book right now is Thinking, fast and slow by Daniel Kahneman (psychology). Most of the books I read are psychology books. Although I really loved Shantaram, for example, I rarely read those kinds of books.

I used to watch a lot of dramas that make me think (Twice Born, The Shawshank Redemption, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Life Is Beautiful, Mr. Nobody, Requiem for a Dream, Into the Wild, Perfect Sence, The impossible, The Pianist, etc.), but I don’t really watch them anymore. I do believe that I still like them though.

Lately, I’ve been watching documentaries (mostly environmental or health-related - The game changers, The life of Our Planet, Forks over Knives, etc.) and I love learning new things while watching a movie (otherwise it feels like wasting time haha).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sky diving in my home country Lithuania;
Camino de Santiago (Camino del Norte) in Spain - 620km, 25 days hike with my mum;
Heli hike at Franz Josef glacier in NZ;
Dropped out of uni and started traveling lol;
Camino Lituano - hiked through Lithuania (500km in 15days);
Lived in Australia for 2 years;

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some pretty messed up words in Lithuanian that sound like a spell lol (ask me to teach you how to say 666).
As a host, I will try to host only when I have time to show you around. I would be happy to cook together, go out to see places, or have a drink. Always happy to give recommendations even if I can't host you!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Memories are the most valuable thing to me. So either it's a nice chat over a glass of wine, cooking together or going on a little adventure - I can be a pretty good company.
