At the moment, I'm just enjoying everything that comes to my path... I like to discover, to help, to explain,... Planning to go to Ruanda next year...

ABOUT ME

All of my life, I've been living and studying in Ghent city... Maybe someday I'll leave, but I'm quite sure I'll get back someday...
After a study of three years in Medicine, I decided it was time for a change. Wanting to combine 'the human creature', empathy, psychology and my enthousiasm I decided to study midwifery. But still... I wanted to expand my knowledge ('the art is in the detail') and decided to continue my medicine studies after graduating as a miwife.
I think I'm interested in performing arts since 10 years approximatly. I like to sing (singing in a band and a choir), to dance (making a performance with some friends), to check out the latest novelties in the theatreworld... And whenever a project speaks to me, I'm happy to help... As a medicine student I enjoy being part of the organisational team for the Summer School on Health and Migration, organised at Ghent University.
Ghent city is a nice city for a wide range of ages. There are quite a few theatrehouses and performances for children. There are plenty of bars, coffeehouses, cinemas, theatres, markets, shops (big brands but also smaller, cosier shops), parties,... During daytime there are a lot of opportunities to visit musea, monuments, the city,...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was a newbie few years ago when becoming a CS-member and I am stil... just a newbie, I guess at this point I can't host anyone, since I am living at my parents house, but showing around, going for a drink, to the cinema, theatre are quite OK...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Went Couchsurfing when doing an internship at the Maternity Ward in Lokeren.

Interests

I do think I made that pretty clear in the 'all about you' part.
Because of my ethnic background and my education I'm planning an oversee internship next year.

Writing my masters' thesis on the relation between sexual and reproductive health and migration in Europe made me even more passionate on this subject.
