I'm visiting San Francisco looking to move here and join the film making and artistic community.

ABOUT ME

I love making short narrative and documentary films, my specialty in post-production. I also love making music, playing guitar and singing.
I love cooking, art, books, and random adventures with friends.
I guess my style is 30% sci-fi geek, 40% film geek, and 30% punk rockish. I'd like to meet people into collaboration, organizing events, and having fun.

PHILOSOPHY

I enjoy learning everything I possibly can while on this planet. I love sharing experiences with others from good conversations during a walk, to making art/music/food, or something totally novel.
My personal philosophy when it comes to the people in my life is to try the best to make other's lives better/easier/more pleasant in general.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I discovered CS through some college friends who recently relocated to the West Coast. I haven't yet couch surfed except with them, but I'm looking forward to meeting more great folks.

I'm pretty intellectually curious about most things. I love meeting people who are passionate within their disciplines. I tend to relate really well with science-y type people and musicians.

The first time I was in Portland's famous Indy bookstore, Powells Books Wallace Shawn, the actor/playwright/villain in The Princess Bride came up to me in the "Excessive Culture" book section and asked me "What was up with all this excessive culture?" I talked with him about a Henry Darger art book before he was swarmed by fans.

I have a pretty good basic knowledge of computers. I'd be happy to show people how to use Final Cut Pro editing software, Photoshop, or make basic websites.
I also have been a professional cook for about ten years and love showing people how to cook vegetarian food, as well as exchanging recipes.
