About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I've just moved into my own place. I work regular hours and like to do stuff after work, such as language classes, yoga, running and eating out. I've travelled a lot - over 3 years in the last 10 years and have just booked a holiday in India which I'm really looking forwards to.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is to be enjoyed and to be made easier for those not able to currently enjoy by those that are. Do what you want, but don't harm others or the environment in the process. Don't be too annoying either, or looking for other people's approval.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have an inflatable double mattress you can sleep on and a sofa bed in the living room. I have a 2 bed flat, and a housemate, so you only have the living room area to use. I'm out of the house 9:00am - 9:00pm Monday to Friday and am often busy at weekends so wouldn't have much time to show you around :(

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None through couch surfing, but some through friends of friends, etc.

Interests

I love going to the cinema, watching live music, cooking, traveling, other/alternative culture, reading non-fiction, yoga, learning new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - Comedies, real life, suspense, psychological, alternative and original
Music - mellow, acoustic, melodic, alternative rock, grunge, 1960s and early 70s, world, unplugged (
Books - any non-fiction about people's (more interested in women) lives, struggles or situations, especially from other countries where not so much is known.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

From traveling I've seen a lot of things I would consider amazing, such as active volcanoes, Sherpas carrying loads up mountains heavier than they are, Tibetan monks chanting, the Dalai Lama, fishermen fighting waves in flimsy kayaks, ancient cave art, ancient Buddhist temples and sculptures, female resilience, tsunami havoc and destruction, coral reefs, natural beauties, orangutans up close and in the wild...uuumm, there's more...
