Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently joined couch surfing as I'm moving to London for a placement year and required a place to stay while I got my bearings and searched for a flat in London. Depending upon my experience on couchsurfing, I'd surf more when I travel to new countries and places.

Interests

I have a wide range of interest. More of a 'jack of all trades, master of none'. I used to make music and DJ at the National Museum of Scotland. I have been DJing at their main bi-annual event for the last three years. I have also played music at several local clubs in Edinburgh.

I also dabble in magic having learned some clever sleight of hand and mind reading. Tbh, the mind reading does not always go according to plan :P.

I have recently started to learn how to code in Swift 2 as I'm trying to build an app for myself to share videos with my friends. I have also built a website on an open source platform called switch (www.switchh.site) with the idea of helping reduce wastage and encouraging reuse of books amongst the student community.

Music, Movies, and Books

Tbh, I haven't read a whole lot. I have to admit I'd read very few classics prior to University. I am slowly reading more but there is a very long way to go.

Movies on the other hand, I have seen a whole lot of having taken european cinema at University. I am hugely critical of films but lately am more reserved about my views so as to not upset the viewing experience for others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I haven't done anything I'd deem amazing so far as the targets are relative. Every achievement is subsequently demoted to the ordinary as one attempts to stretch and achieve even further.

So as to not be come across as philosophically obnoxious, I'd say completing university was an amazing thing I have done. The ability to learn lessons and grow during my time has been amazing in the sense that it gave me perspective and allowed me to understand that criticism and pain are an important part of growth.
