I'm goofy, random, jack of all trades - master of none, intelligent, always willing to try new things, excellent cook, good listener, horrible dancer, champion eater (I've eaten a 7 pound burrito in an hour), compassionate, love to laugh - especially at myself, and I have a hard time dealing with people that can't laugh at themselves.....

Bicycles. And anything that goes fast. And building things, especially things that are creative solutions to interesting problems. Be it a latch to a front fence or a traveling salesman optimization issue in Matlab, I love to solve problems. And I work hard at having fun in the process. I also like to competitively row Whaleboats (Embarcadero Rowing Club). And drink heavily after winning whaleboat races.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In a boat in the SF bay with my rowing club one tranquil evening, seeing the sun set behind San Francisco while a firefighting boat was discharging all of its hoses in a huge plume of water 40 feet in the air. That has been my moment of zen for the last 2 years.

Also, seeing my sister's child hours after birth.
