About Me
I am originally from Hawaii but transplanted to Vegas 20 years ago. I am a wife and mom of three boys. I’m loyal to a fault. I’m awesome at Bananagrams. I do my own nails. I like a good Moscato. And my favorite gelato is from Eduardo’s in Florence.
My husband is also on CS so please take the time to check out his profile as well. https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/devon-eisma
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is about more than saving hotel costs. It’s a gift exchange between the surfer and the host that offers an intimate gaze into somebody’s home and the feeling of being held and comforted by their personal space. It’s also a reminder that we’re floating along due to a strong bond of trust.
~Amanda Palmer, The Art of Asking
To experience places like a local rather than as a tourist and to make friends or acquaintances from around the world and learn about their language and culture. To teach my children how to be hospitable, expand their horizons, learn of other languages and cultures, and to appreciate those cultural differences.

Music, Movies, and Books
My husband and I have found a new love of going to musical festivals together :) My favorite go to music is 90’s hip hop and Motown, but I really do love all kinds of music depending on my mood, but especially if it moves my feet or my soul. Flower Duet by Lakmè makes me cry every time.
I like comedies that make me laugh so hard that I tear or my face or abdomen hurts. I like movies that I can’t predict, make you think, and hopefully have great action scenes.
Soooo many books...but honestly my favorite is my journal. Maybe one day I’ll write a memoir.
