I'm a friendly 29 year old male from New Zealand who has a passion for travel. In December 2011 I decided to pack up and have a change of lifestyle and that meant that I have been travelling almost non stop ever since. I return to New Zealand and Australia once a year usually around October where I spend my summer working as part of Channel 9's and Sky TV's production crew, helping to put graphics and Animations on your television screen as you watch cricket. When I'm not travelling for work I am travelling for pleasure as I absolutely love backpacking. The joy I get meeting interesting people and having adventures in new places overwhelms me. I also like to get outdoors to enjoy nature and scenery and also love the beach and the ocean. Some of my favourite activities to partake in while travelling aside from socialising include, diving, surfing, hiking, mountain biking, relaxing in the sun on a beach or park with a good book and trying out local cafes and restaurants. I particularly like to try strange, local food when I travel..... things that could not be found elsewhere in the world! I think that is enough about me now and I hope to meet you all soon :)

I'm on couchsurfing to meet interesting and like-minded people that I can relate to. I like people with free spirits and open minds and people who aren't afraid to get outside their comfort zone and explore the beautiful world that we live in!

I find it too hard to list favourites as I have a broad range of tastes and no doubt some things I will really enjoy I haven't even discovered yet. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's so hard to name just one because there have been so many amazing experiences with amazing people but the last one that comes to mind is happening as I type. I am sitting in the Finnish archipelago on a rocking chair, on a balcony of a house surrounded by forest as I look out into the Baltic Sea. It is so peaceful and tranquil with the only sounds being the birds and insects flying around and the odd boat in the distance. I think it is amazing that I have been lucky enough to come here to enjoy this beauty.... and experiences like this happen time and time again. I feel truly blessed!
