Have been working in a variety of jobs since I left high school and have never really had the chance to travel.

I'm heading to a conference in San Diego and have decided to take some time off to explore as I've always wanted to visit the USA (especially New York).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm travelling to the USA for a work trip and have no idea where to start!! I've never been before and want to make the most of the time I'm there but don't want to do overly touristy stuff if I can avoid it. A friend on Couchsurfing recommended I get on here to find local people who might be able point me in the right direction or take me sight seeing!

Would appreciate anyone who can recommend places to visit in San Diego, Los Angeles, New York, Washington DC or San Francisco.

Range of music but my favourites are heavier classical (Stravinsky, Wagner, etc) and Scandinavian melodic death metal (it's not as bad as it sounds).
