Hi there couch surfing world. My name is Ryan and I am a 27 year old Mechanical Engineer who is on the pursuit of passion, people, places... and peaches?

I would like to believe that life starts where your comfort zone ends. I try to push myself past my comforts as often I can to give myself every chance I can to learn and grow. I don't know what I don't know, but I'm excited to find out.

Currently I'm working in sustainable construction consulting but I want to go back to school for training in prosthetics. I am inspired by design and have a passion for helping people that I really feel go well with this career. If I could help someone walk again or walk better, I think I will go home everyday just a little happier.

Besides that, I love music, I enjoy movies, and I take every opportunity I can to dance. When I was just a wee lad, I spent most of my time doing tap, jazz, and ballet!

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Because there are too many good things you miss when you are a tourist and not a traveler. I want to experience not just the place, but the people who make it what it is.

Traveling through Europe and Africa, I met so many wonderful people couchsurfing. From getting lost in the streets of rome, to drinking wine in the fields of france, to riding motorbikes through the fields of Ghana, Couchsurfing has let me branch out as I spread my roots in the world.

My life has taken me down some interesting roads, and I love the opportunity to share some of my stories. More importantly, I want to hear yours.

Interessen

I love anything and everything outdoors. Hiking, biking, climbing, snowboarding... if it is outside and ends with "ing" I probably like it. Currently I am trying to get into Highlining! I also play a lot of music on the side. I was a pub singer in University and love to shower sing... maybe not always in the shower.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

My absolute favorite movie has to be Hot Fuzz, but I love anything that tells a beautiful story in a creative way. Some movies I have watched recently that I can recommend are Captain Fantastic, Moonrise Kingdom, and the Fantastic Mr. Fox.

I'm really into electro swing but really I love anything that makes me move.

I rode a camel in Israel, chased after my Camera into a new country, climbed many peaks, boarded many mountains... and the best I'm sure us yet to come.
