About Me
I like to cook, to eat, to meet new people. I like to relax, find beautiful or interesting spots, have long conversations and take my time. I prefer the evening, I like late nights and sleepy mornings.
I spent some time traveling in Asia after college and then took a corporate job in healthcare informatics (software), and 2 weeks of vacation doesn't leave much time for the relaxed way of travel that I prefer. Last year I started my own company and decided that all of my employees (so, just me) will get as much vacation time as they like.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've met a few CS hosts while traveling and attended a few events in my home city, but now that I'm starting to do my own traveling it seems like a great way to meet other travellers and helpful locals. If it works out that I can also find people willing to share their space, thats extra helpful.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Anything but modern country. These days I like downtempo stuff like Massive Attack, Tricky, Portishead but I'm just as happy to listen to some old rap (A tribe called quest, anyone from NWA) some metal (Rage Against the Machine, Rammstein) or even some of the US top 40/Pop (Lana Del Rey). Or for something more instrumental, Gotan Project?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One smart thing: Won an international NASA space settlement design competition in high school.
One dumb thing: Accidentally hitchhiked way too far in Laos and then swam (floated) about 3 miles of the Mekong River to get back.
Countries I’ve Visited
Bahamas, Belize, France, Honduras, Italy, Jamaica, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Spain, Thailand, Viet Nam, Virgin Islands, U.S.
