My partner Jen and I are community workers based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the land of the Blackfoot, Tsuu T'ina, and Nakoda nations. We enjoy hosting community events in our home, as we are committed to connecting with people and building community in an often isolating city. This summer (2017) we are embarking on an adventure to Sri Lanka for a friend's wedding. We will also be spending time in Europe on our way back to explore and visit my family in Germany.

Jen is an avid knitter and music lover, particularly of 70-90s rock, folk, and country. She is connected to her Cree Metis (Indigenous communities in Canada) ancestry and also has ancestry from western/central Europe.

I am into political organizing, camping, and over-dramatic TV shows. I'm active in queer and trans communities and have ancestry from Germany and eastern Europe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In July/August 2017 we will be in Sri Lanka for a friend's wedding and Europe to see family. We are looking for places to stay, people to meet, and local activism to connect with in the following places during our travels:
