I enjoy trying new foods, meeting new people, and sharing in stories and experiences. I'm interested in how people live and their history. One of the joys of travel, I find is trying new foods. If there is something edible and exotic in a new country I want to try it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people around the world and experience what it is like to live as they do. Seeing is a good way to learn, but actually doing it is so much better. I want to use couchsurfing as a way to connect with people I have never met, hear their stories and share mine. I love to travel! . And I want to make some friends while I do it.

Interests

I enjoy reading short stories, graphic novels, comics, and about history.
I also like to stay physically fit. I like activities such as hiking, running, biking, and yoga. I enjoy playing soccer(foot ball) and frizbee golf( I'm a beginner).
And I enjoy trying new foods, I'll try anything once.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I run in two half marathons.

I tried living as a vegetarian for 2 months.

I had the opportunity to swim in the Great Barrier Reef summer of '14. I feel lucky to have done that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am willing to help anyone practice their English. And I would like to learn some new languages, or key phrases at least.

I am looking to learn from my hosts about their lives and the culture they live in.I would like to see some of the things that locals know about the area, not just the tourist attractions.

I am willing to help around the house. I can cook, bake, and would like to learn anything new in the kitchen that a host is willing to teach me. I consider myself to be a good house guest.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A respectful house guest that is tidy, picks up after myself, and easy-going. I am interested in getting to know my hosts. I can offer good conversation about life, cultural differences and similarities, and philosophies. I am interested in people and hearing their stories.
