We're excited to be back home in Winnipeg after a year and a half abroad in Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. We love being outside, hiking, and travelling. Looking forward to all of Winnipeg's great festivals this summer.

Sarah has lived and taught English in Bangkok for a year, and traveled South East Asia solo. She loves trying (but not always succeeding) to learn new languages and is happy to share or practice any English, French or Spanish skills if you're interested.

Ryan was quite excited to experience backpacking and all it's adventures. He's funny, easy-going and loves animals and outdoorsy pursuits. He also plays the guitar.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling to a new country isn't complete without meeting the people. We're on couch surfing to meet new friends from around the world and learn more about their lives and cultures. Hopefully we can share our experiences and create some fun memories together.

At home we hope to share some of our favourite attractions, restaurants and adventures with others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've couchsurfed in Asia and Australia so far. We enjoy meeting and connecting with other locals and travelers while we travel for the next year. We had the pleasure of surfing with wonderful hosts who taught us more about Chinese food and lifestyle. We were fortunate enough to meet up with another CSer in Bangkok to explore some unique sights as well as learn more about Thai culture. We also had some great times and meals with our hosts/guides in Kuala Lumpur and the Philippines last year. In Australia, we've met some interesting and great people who've shared their stories and homes with us.

We're looking forward to hosting when we find a place, because if you find yourself in Winnipeg for whatever reason, the least we can do is show you the best spots.
