ABOUT ME

I'm 25 years old. Just finished medical school and will start working in Edinburgh. I discovered my love of travelling during a year off from university during which I volunteered in Nepal and the UK with VSO. Spent the final 6 months working and travelling around India which was the most incredible experience. I've since had to return to my studies but my thirst for travel means I look forward to every summer when I can get away from my city.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently in a Halls of residence in central London so can only offer a hard floor. Looking forward to having a place of my own in the future and being able to host properly.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed a few times during my time in India. Some of my best experiences of the country only happened because of couchsurfing so I'm constantly recommending it to other. I've also met with other surfers for a drink which was a lot of fun.

Interests

General lover of sport, took up rowing at university which now has a special place in my heart (the ergs do not) I used to practice Jiu-Jitsu for 9 years and plan to return to martial arts soon. I love cooking, films and trips with friends. Always looking for new experiences and love learning what other cultures have to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books

Radiohead. Electronic, Folk, indie, classical, always out to experience new music. Love most types of film, sci fi particularly, Books ,favourites include Kim, One flew over the Cuckoos nest, The House of God

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Riding my bike down the mountain roads in Kashmir is one of my favourite memories and it's definitiely the 'happy place' I go to in my head when I'm tired of being in a busy city. I'm proud of my Black Belt.

I've worked as a tutor for the last 7 years and really enjoy teaching, education has opened so many doors for me and it's a thrill when I realise I've managed to teach a kid something new.
