ABOUT ME

I am laid back. My favorite thing is to hang out by a campfire just with good food and drinks. For me, traveling and reading are very similar. There are more great books than I have time to read and more great places than I have time (and money) to visit.

But the most important part of both are the people and their stories. I enjoy traveling and hosting because of the awesome people who's stories you hear.

PHILOSOPHY

Howard Thurman stated, “Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” True life is lost when invested in oneself. If love is dying to oneself, and death is the last remaining unknown, then to show one’s love by sacrifice is the greatest adventure upon which we can embark...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS in summer 2011 based on the recommendation of friend Daren Wendell. I participated in 3 month solo backpacking expedition in Australia called The Earth Expedition.

After that awesome trip, because of my living arrangements, I have not had the opportunity to offer the hospitality to others that has been shown to me. But Hopefully I will soon.
