ABOUT ME

Nicola and I consider ourselves very typically Scottish. We are both very outgoing and love nothing more than spending time with our family and friends and having a laugh with them. Although Nicola is quite shy, we love meeting new people and can't wait to start our round-the-world trip at the end of June. We have been married two years and we have enjoyed every minute since getting married in Florence, Italy.

PHILOSOPHY

I think we both like to see the good in other people, no matter how similar or different they may appear to be. We also believe in seizing the day and making the most of opportunities that come our way!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is us taking our first tentative steps into the world of CS after hearing about it through a friend. We are really keen to see how this whole thing works for us, and to opening our home to CS'ers visiting Scotland when we get home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far...but every great journey starts with one small step!

We both love socialising and meeting new people. I am a huge fan of almost all sports and a big reader. We are open to broadening our horizons on our travels and opening ourselves to people and places we have yet to meet and see.

We have a very wide range of taste in music, and I will read almost anything I can get my hands on. As far as modern fiction is concerned, I am a huge fan of a Scottish author called Christopher Brookmyre and of James Frey. I also love 'classic' literature. Nicola enjoys starting books and never finishing them :P!!

I appeared on TV for six weeks in a reality series which commemorated the 60th anniversary of the D-Day Landings! And for Nicola, she married meeeee!!! lol
