About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm posing a Twister challenge to the North West to restore my faith in humanity, live life, love life, and to share that joy.
ABOUT ME
I just got into Portland from Virginia last night; my plans serendipitously fell through and I decided to go with it - I'd like to meet new folks and share more experiences in my time here so it worked out. I work in the non-profit world, on issues of reproductive freedom, and work as a vegan baker to support my unpaid non-profit work with a national sex worker's rights organization. I am a through and through animal lover, I like making music, yoga, honest conversations, and sleeping under the stars. I find myself in Portland to test the waters for a possible move, and to take a break from the monotony of all my "real job" and university work.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Independents and documentaries occupy the Netflix queue in my heart:
Music: Mirah, the mountain goats, tabu ley rochereau, hurray for the riff raff, the avett brothers, al green, team dresch, lemuria, neko case, slayer, benny moré, bruce springsteen, arrested development, sam cooke, dave end, the dead presidents, ethel waters, everything.
Books: The Little Prince, Michelle Tea, David Sedaris, Audre Lorde, Hemingway, Michael Polan, Naom Chomsky, The Life of Pi, Doris and many other zines... right now I'm reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.
