G'day all, hope you're well. I have a little experiment on the go to help to facilitate the writing of my PhD. Basically, writing a PhD can be incredibly alienating and isolating and the last thing I wanted to do with my spare time was to hang out with other PhD students, because I find most of them incredibly boring. So, I thought couch surfing world be a fantastic way to meet people and stay inspired.

I tend to be a little busy when I am in Melbourne, but I can always make time for someone that wants to hang. I am an ok cook so I would to my best to cook at least one light of my stay to earn my keep. Other than that, music keep me sane, I generally play indoor soccer with a group of friends on Tuesday, like to see jazz on a Wednesday night on Brunswick street, teach a bit of guitar.

Although I study in Melbourne, I live in Morwell with mum because I cannot afford to live in Melbourne and study. Travelling up every day is tiring, destabilising and expensive in itself and staying with family is a little much to ask all the time. With that in mind, I thought initially about staying in hostels. This was a part solution and I was almost satisfied to wear the expense for the convenience. However, thankfully, my sis intervened and said: couch surfing. So, after a number of years, I find myself back.
