ABOUT ME

Currently I am a graduate student and studying English Language Teaching at university in Akita, a city located in the nothern part of Japan. I am originally from Tokyo-Yokohama area but enjoying this rural environment.

I was born in a mediocre Japanese family, and I think I am introvert. I like to read books, do sports, drink coffee at cafe, and drive around the countryside.

I am fluent in English and Japanese (my first language), and speak some French. For those from Tokyo, merely living in Akita is linguistically challenging. There are huge differences in sounds and vocablary. I am still on the way of improving my Akita-dialect as a Foreign Language.

Before my graduate program started, I had had several jobs in Tokyo, including selling books at the largest bookstore in Japan and teaching math at an extra-curricular school.

Interests

My academic interests aside, I am keen on how meeting new people can change one's life. Japanese has a thought-provoking saying: "Treasure a uniquely precious encounter."
