About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"...and I shambled after as I've been doing all my life after people who interest me, because the only people for me are the mad ones, the ones...who...never say a commonplace thing but burn, burn, burn like fabulous roman candles..." Thanks Jack.

ABOUT ME

For the next two years I will be finishing up my B.A. in philosophy at Western Washington University. I live in an apartment with my roommate Collin, who attends Whatcom Community College. I'm obsessed with literature and writing, so we have quite a few books in the apartment. I've traveled abroad every summer for the past three years, and this past summer I was able to spend two and a half months in China. Best time of my life!

PHILOSOPHY

I trust you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've attended multiple meetings in both the U.K. and China, and have surfed in the United States. Having just rented my own place, I and my roommate are now able to host!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing meetings are always a great place to meet like-minded people. My best experience was in Beijing, when I met up with a group of couchsurfers for the 4th of July. Needless to say, that was one holiday I didn't forget while abroad that summer!

Interests

Languages have really consumed my interest recently, But I've had (and still have) stints with photography, hiking, writing, cultural study, fish culture, philosophy, music, and snowboarding.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teaching young children in Tibet was a highlight of my summer, as was my entire time in Beijing. I read amazing books, met amazing people, and felt the world coming that much more into focus.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people about gerund clauses and why they're different from participial phrases. I can never remember what else it is that I know.
