Overview
About Me
Hello! My name is Ryan, I am a materials engineer for Anheuser-Busch (yes, I get free beer!) and I am excited to be part of the Couchsurfing community.
I like visiting new places as often as I can and meeting new people. Always down for a concert or music festival. A bit of a beer enthusiast; yes, I work for the big guys but I can appreciate the local offerings.
My work has me traveling a good amount across the US, from tiny towns to huge cities. I also like to travel around with my girlfriend. Since we are long distance it provides a good excuse to meet up in random places and discover something new.
I'm a pretty laid back guy, I just like to have a good time!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My girlfriend suggested it to me. Since I have moved around so much for work I end up living in places where I don't always know a lot of people. I like to travel around for concerts and music festivals a lot and that is not always the easiest to find companions for unless they have the same specific interests. Figured couch surfing would be a good way to visit different places and meet people even though I am traveling alone.
Interests
Huge music festival fan! Have been to several smaller local ones in different areas that I have lived as well as to Bonnaroo 4x!

Music, Movies, and Books
Big fan of alternative/indie rock, some rap, metal, country...really will give anything a listen as long as it sounds good.
I like all kinds of movies, but have a soft spot for a good horror flick. Enjoy the excitement of a good scare.
My favorite author is Chuck Klosterman, I really enjoy reading alternative takes on the world around us.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got to travel to Belgium for work and extended the trip with some vacation time to backpack a bit around Europe!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Always down to talk beer. I have been to many different craft and large breweries and have tried many different styles. Same with music, always like to discuss different bands and styles.
I have traveled to many different cities across the US and like to think I can provide some good info for points of interest worth visiting.
