About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find contentment and build the life I want

ABOUT ME

I am a mobile device analyst for the city of Boulder, Colorado. Essentially, I get paid to play with the newest mobile devices and find new and innovative ways to use them to increase efficiency and productivity. It's a pretty amazing job for a guy with an English degree to land.

I've done some traveling but realize that it will never be enough, there is just too much to see and do out there. My wife and I are finally able to start hosting and are looking forward to continuing our explorations of the world together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Aside from one less than stellar experience with a host in Zagreb, CouchSurfing has been amazing. I have met such wonderful people, both as host and traveler. I point everyone I know who is planning on taking a trip that does not involve a package deal with a hotel to this site and they have all appreciated and cherished the relationships and experiences that came as a result.

Interests

My interests recently have been focused on the technology front due to my work, but I am far from a one trick pony.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read anything I can get my hands on, almost regardless of who it was written by or what the work is. I tend to stay away from the more popular series because I am contrary like that, although the authors I enjoy most are popular enough with those that matter.

Musically, I am almost the same. The only music I don't particularly enjoy is country. Once again, that could be because I grew up in the South and I had to rebel somehow.

As for movies, I really do like everything, although I have a special place in my heart for great documentaries (The Corporation, Street Fight, Death in Gaza, movies like that).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched the sun rise over St. Peter's Basilica from the restricted access Papal Rose Garden.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you have technology trouble or want to make it work better, I can probably help.
