About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I eagerly though tentatively seek adventure.
ABOUT ME
I'm interested in a lot of things, but haven't found one single passion yet. I'm still trying to be a real person, so far I haven't succeeded but I'm learning a lot along the way.
Having a tight-knit family has taught me the most how to love and care for others, and how to be accepting of a lot of different things. And flexible...boy has it taught that.
I am a follower of Jesus, though I still feel so young in my faith. But I don't mind talking about it.
I don't mind talking about much of anything. I'm quite tolerant, though I can't promise I won't be uncomfortable at times. But generally I'm nice, and easygoing.
PHILOSOPHY
"In life, one can either be oh so smart or oh so pleasant. For years I was smart. I prefer pleasant"--Elwood P. Dowd in Harvey
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just started Couch Surfing on the recommendation of a friend.
I won't be able to participate in sharing my couch, but would enjoy meeting with people for coffee and a tour around the town. Maybe even a bike ride?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As I'm new, I haven't yet been couchsurfing at all, but as part of several choirs I've gotten to stay with host families many times. Sometimes we did pretty outrageous things, like eating pig fat, or going up in a hot-air balloon, but the parts I always appreciated most were just when I could see what it's like to live in other places.
Interests
I enjoy discussing a wide variety of subjects, but take a special interest in broadcasting, computers, and the broad spectrum of subjects known as "geekery." If it's been on Slashdot, I could probably have an interesting discussion about it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a sucker for good Sci-Fi, but find much of it a little too trope-y. I find myself enjoying a good nonfiction book more and more over fiction books these days, plowing through "Blink" with ease while more tediously finishing "The Plot Against America." I am not a music-phile, but I do enjoy Weezer, Vampire Weekend, Regina Spektor, Sufjan Stevens, Phoenix, and the kind of music that you'd hear on 89.3 The Current in the Twin Cities.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Unfortunately, I don't think that I've yet done anything truly amazing. But I have fallen off a stage while dressed as Elvis, Had Mike Rowe of Dirty Jobs wear my glasses, had an Opera star nonchalantly and accidentally flash me... you know, the usual.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm still young, and so I don't have that kind of deep knowledge in a subject that could make for teaching a course.
But I do have a vast store of general information, enough to gain me the moniker "wiki" at my first job, because like wikipedia, I knew a little bit about just about everything.
