ABOUT ME
Currently a traveling consultant.
2008 went on a 4.5 month world trip, looking to enjoy my last brilliant gasp of freedom before plunging deep into the world of organized work, i.e. consulting.
I love meeting new people, discovering new things, and getting the nitty-gritty local or unique experiences even at some (but very rarely great) risk to my person.
As a Southerner, a Texan, and a lover of classical literature, I realize now that I have a deep affinity and respect for the 'code of hospitality'. While I am a bit messy (I reign it in when I am a guest), I believe that the idea of hosting people and being a good guest is one of the oldest and most important ideas in the world. I guess this is why CS appealed to me when I heard about it in Egypt.
Physical activity, reading, writing (on high quality paper of course), music, and chatting whimsically up metaphorical trees (mine would resemble baobabs rather than pines) all are enjoyed by me.
Last 3 books read:
--A supposedly fun thing I'll never do again (Foster Wallace)
--Le Comte de Monte Cristo (Dumas)
--Windup Girl (Bacigalupi)
PHILOSOPHY
It would have to be outside the box. This only makes sense on the edit page.
