Well, here we go again. 🤣

How do I describe/introduce myself? . . . And what does it even mean to describe oneself?

Is it to list all the interests of oneself, or to write down a couple of personal traits that they think are their?

Is it to present one's life using the language of facts and numbers?

Or perhaps, is it to define oneself in terms of their life-philosophy, religion and cultural background?

All of the above above or none of it? It's your task to decide.

In my opinion though, to describe oneself is nothing when compared with being described by an observer.

Why? Is that what you want to ask?

Pointless it is to describe oneself without an observer since in that case there is no reason for doing so whatsoever. (Yet, still, we, humans, myself included, do it.) Thus, deliberately, an observer must be able to describe another person better since just then there is a reason for description in the fisrt place.

A description of another human being whether based on real-life experience or simply on a product of theirs – that's the way to go.

Have I just described myself? Have I left you tangled? Have I just given you something that can be used by an observer to create an image of the writter himself?

You decide. You are an observer. You are the observer.

I would say that Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment has been my favourite book so far. I am currently reading Julian Jaynes's book "The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind".
