About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Follow these restless feet of mine exactly where they want to go...

ABOUT ME

My friend Shelby and I are on a bicicleta tour from Chimaltenago, Guatemala, to Excelsior, Minnesota. "Oh my", you might say, as we did when we decided to go homeward-bound instead of south-bound as was our original plan. We are currently camping in all kinds of places in Guatemala (like churchs, radio stations, one skate park, with people that we meet, parques), but are real excited to start couchsurfing in Mexico and the States.

I like conversation, well-written books, swimming in the ocean and rivers, skiing, running, looking at plants, baking (right now there are oranges in my fournos), trying to speak in other languages, a good rug, biking on to new and uncharted territory, rocks with holes in them, keeping in touch, vegetables and the growing of them, and good beer.

PHILOSOPHY

Attention. Communication. Love. Attention.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hania, Crete, has given me the most incredible picture of good community couchsurfers. I love the people I've met... I'm thinking next of a cross-country bicycle trip across the States with lots of couchsurfing involved.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Favorite CS invite: A community backpacking trip to celebrate ancient Greek ways of life...

Interests

They range! Patterned clothing from bygone eras, people that write stories, coffee in the morning, beards on men, Charles Darwin and his theory, traveling around, analyzing flower parts, looking at old buildings, finding out family histories, measuring and climbing trees, moss, creeks, biology in general, participating in modern art, discussing politics, reading the world news.
