Hi, I'm Ryota from Japan! I'm 20 and now a university student. This year is a gap year for me so I decided to do a one year Backpack trip all around the world.
I've already spent three months in the southeast Asia and China. I'm right in the middle of the Central Asia now!
About my English; Although my mother language is Japanese, I used to live in Singapore when I was small so I have no problem communicating in English.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I wrote above, I'm doing a Backpack trip around the world for a year.
I've already finished 3 months of it and I realized that it's very difficult to spend time with the Local people as a traveler. I usually stay in a guesthouse or a hostel and all the people I meet and talk are also Travelers.( Of course it's very nice to spend time with travelers from all around the world.)
For me, meeting and talking with the Local people makes me understand more about the country. Or maybe that's the only way you can actually understand about the country.
So I would really like to have the chance of spending time with the Local people by Couchsurfing.
Well, this was the clean part.
To be honest there's always the budget problem. In countries where there is cheap accommodation it's ok but not all countries are like this...
So it would be great if you can let me stay! (Even if your not a local person)
I both like playing and watching sports. I used to play Baseball but I also love playing soccer( or maybe football in your country :)
I'm also very interested in making short films. I'm always impressed with the traveling films that professionals make.
Actually I'm uploading films that I've taken during this trip on Youtube too !

Music, Movies, and Books
I like most of the pop music, EDM music !!
I used to watch many movies but recently have less chances to watch movies. I remember watching the American football movie "The Blind Side" a lot.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To be honest I think I've never done anything amazing in my life. But I hope the fact that I'm traveling around the world and making short films will become the"One Amazing Thing I've Done" one day.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've also traved Japan with a bike and experienced a lot in Japan so I suppose I can share you the deep and wonderful culture of Japan.
I can also show how Japanese students are like.
