ABOUT ME

I'm home again from travels and I love being back home, but, I want to go traveling again. Next time I will go to see Ireland and Scotland, by way of boat from Newfoundland across Greenland and Iceland, maybe, or maybe back to Spain. Who knows, the world is a big place.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a freethinker, and I believe in common sense. I think that most of life is finding a way to do what you are already inclined towards without holding back anybody else in the process. If you go through life without have even yourself as a friend, you lose, so stand up for yourself. Honesty is most important, and willingness to do what it takes and learn more.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed with four different hosts in Frankfurt, Madrid, and Marseille. Good times, good times.

Interests

I'm interested in history, linguistics, music, mythology, people, personalities, and ethics, but much more, as well.
I'm learning to speak in German, but I can thusfar only speak in caveman like phrases and barely communicate my wishes or thoughts. Aber Ich glaube dass, Es wird besser! I am also interested in learning the Spanish language sometime in the future.
I play the guitar, the mandolin, the pennywhistle, the dulcimer (a somewhat obscure Appalachian instrument), the harmonica, and I am presently learning to fiddle. I love music, and I also love to sing (espescially old Irish rebel songs).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have lost my mind, found it again, known what it was like to be hungry, and then to finally eat. I think that courage means a lot more when you've been a coward. I plan to live until I die, and die underneath the open sky so that my soul can find it's way back to where it belongs. The greatest thing in life is to be free, and to know who you are when nobody else is looking.

Know when to show up, know when to walk away. Those who matter don't mind, those who mind don't matter.
It's never a mistake to give, it's a choice, and an honorable one, whatever the consequences may be. I've been given a lot when I was in no position to help myself, and I'm grateful.
Always pay off your bets, you'll sleep better that way;)
