Before, I used to introduce and define me by the things I was doing. I would say something like :

Hi, my name is Sarah. I am 33 years old, I am french, have already made some incredible travels and adventures and I currently live in the Netherlands. I love sports : running, hiking, kite surfing, sailing, mountain biking, kickboxing, just name it.

But since an injury with a non-successful surgery a year ago, I lost sports and dancing from my life. And soon, I won't be living in the Netherlands any more. I tried news things to get new hobbies and identity. Guitar, cooking, knitting, But that did not stick.
I realized that I could no longer introduce or define myself by the things I was doing. So instead of saying what I do, I can tell you who I am.

I am someone that Incan ambivalence : I love social contact, but I do reset my energy alone. I love conversation and can have very energetic and enthusiastic moments, as much as I love silence and being quiet.
I dream to cross the Atlantic with a crew on a little sailing boat as I want to do a full month silent meditation retreat.
I love moving, I adore long static contemplation in front of a beautiful landscape.
I have passed the stage where I want to prove people that I am fun, intelligent or whatever. But I really want a moment when I can in all modesty and honesty connect with others.
I live everything intensely. It is my strength and my pitfall.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't been on CouchSurfing for a while. A very long while. And I look back with a smile on what was my experience in CS. It was fun.

Today, I'm in a moment where I need to change my current life. I need to move out from the Netherlands, to try to figure it out a beautiful life somewhere else. But first, I would like to offer myself a few months when I can discover and understand myself a bit more, while experiencing and meeting new people. I would love to see the world through your eyes, and I hope that you are someone curious to do it the other way around.

Every pleasure of life.
I love discover plenty of activities as scuba-diving, paraglinding, dancing, ... discovering a new place is always exciting.
The little charming in a city, different market... whatever life can offer to us.

I am feeling better in natural places rather than big cities. The place I feel the happiest : on the top of the mountain gazing the view, or in the middle of the ocean on a sailing boat.
Food is one of the most important interest in my life ( even if I m a pretty bad cook) and with a glass (or two) of red wine and a good music, "every little thing, is gonna be alright"
