About Me

Just moved back to Seattle after living in Sydney Australia for 6 months. I’ve been living in Seattle for the past 3 years now but am originally from Michigan. I’m a huge culinary enthusiast and traveling has really opened up my eyes to so many different unique cuisines, flavors, etc. When I moved to the Pacific Northwest, I got very into nature and adrenaline sports/activities such as hiking, skiing, and mountain biking. Recently, while living in Australia, Ive gotten really into surfing and scuba diving!
When I travel I try to see my time on vacation as an opportunity to really explore and appreciate the destination from a local perspective. I believe that Couchsurfing is definitely a two way street and I hope to be able to give as a host the warm hospitality and welcome that I receive when I stay with others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why I am on couch surfing is actually an interesting story itself. In May of 2021 I was in vacation in Oahu, HI and had a freak accident resulting in a partial collapse of my lung. During my trip I was with my friends staying in a big resort in Waikiki. After the injury I had to stay an extra 3 weeks and could not afford to stay in the resort as a college student. I ended up staying in a hostel and really cherished my time there. It broadened my perspective and allowed my to meet so many locals and travelers that helped me through my injury. Their hospitality and kindness is something I will never forget. After this experience I started to enjoy going out and really exploring local cultures.

Teach, Learn, Share

I share many passions as a culinary enthusiast while trying to learn from locals everywhere I travel. From a young age I always looked and a globe and would point to different locations that I dreamed of going to. I’m so fascinated by learning and respecting different cultures, traditions, ways of life. Traveling truly opens up one’s perspective of the world and I hope to continue to do so.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I truly hope to reciprocate many things that I have learned over my journeys. Whether it is foods from different regions
of the world, or teaching some of my Urdu language I really hope I can share a positive experience and help my hosts learn. I try my best to be respectful, kind, non-judgmental, and try to leave every place cleaner than I found it.
