Hi,
I'm Saana, a Finnish traveler stuck in Finland since 2020 :D . I love to get back to traveling after this long pandemic break, exploring the world, meeting cool people, learning about different cultures, and learning about myself.

One of my passions, dancing, combines the three things that describe me the best: Interaction with other people, being creative and enjoying life. I dance almost all social dances from Argentinian tango, salsa, and kizomba to West Coast Swing. I also sing, play the piano (and little bit guitar as well) and write my own songs.

So basically I love the arts! Both visual and performing arts :)

Because I'm active and super-energetic most of the time I also like to go running or do some workout. I love the outdoors! Spending time in nature, in the woods, brings perfect balance to my life.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I started Couchsurfing when I went on my first trip overseas, to New Zealand. I had heard that it is a great way of meeting new people and getting to learn more about the local way of living. That is still one of the reasons why I've continued on CS.

But the more I've done CS the more I get hooked. All the people I've met so far through Couchsurfing have been amazing. It feels heartwarming when someone you don't even know yet, is willing to open their home to you. And usually from the first moments on, you feel like you've known them for years. Those shared moments are beautiful and precious.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I guess one of the most amazing things was to quit my job, rent my flat away and buy a ticket to NZ :D That was a huge changing point in my life and has so far turned out to be one of the most amazing things!

But if considering some activities, I guess the skydiving in Wanaka was something I never thought I would actually do. And then also snorkeling with the dolphins in Azores 2013.
