ABOUT ME

I'm a 28-year-old university student from Vantaa, Finland. I'm married to the most beautiful woman on Earth and I'm very happy with her. I'm really busy studying, but sometimes I may have some time to walk and enjoy the relaxing beauty of Finnish nature.

PHILOSOPHY

Is there something like this? :D I probably live my life, because it's really worth living. Not all moments are moments of extreme happiness, but some moments are so meaningful that it balances. My wife keeps me going through the hardest stone - she's the one that really supports me. Perhaps, I live for the vacations, because they are always very nice. I live for my beloved friends though I may not have as much time for them as they would earn.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Very interested in having a great time with CS-community. Sitting in café and chatting with CS-members from different countries is something that I wanna do. Sometimes me and my wife can host some surfers, if we are not too busy studying and working.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My wife and I have hosted some surfers from Latvia, Germany, Mexico and Portugal and I had really good time with all of them. The best was Portuguese surfer that we hosted for 11 days. We had really good time and I would even claim that I found a friend for life!

Two Mexicans from Monterey were the second best CS-experience. We introduced them with original Finnish sauna and we had good conversations. Unfortunately they only stayed one night.

兴趣

Music, literature, nature, maps, computers, physics etc. I'm really extreme interested in maps, I collect them in paper and digitally. I may have some hundred of maps totally. That's leads to my most beloved hobby which is walking in the woods or sometimes even hiking.

Never be just quiet during the hosting or surfing. Talking with strangers is ALWAYS good and you'll learn very important facts about other cultures and countries. You may learn that in some way every couch surfer has a lot in common. As a host, don't introduce typical tourist stuff to surfers but do something completely different and show something that matters to you and to the people of your country. In example don't introduce a German to Finnish churches but Finnish nature instead. (There is a lot of different amazing churches in Germany but they don't have even nearly as much forest.)You may find out that they respect it much more than typical tourist stuff. It's always rewarding to realize that you've provided a stranger with something that he hasn't ever experienced before. For a Central European etc. the amazing silence in forest is something that money can't buy.
