Overview
About Me
I love travel and meeting new people. I haven't been able to do nearly as much of either in the past couple years because of school and work commitments and as such, I haven't gotten to use this platform nearly as much as I'd like. Now that I am finally able to resume traveling, am making couch surfing a more intentional part of those adventures.
I grew up in New York, studied in Spain, lived in Japan, and then set up shop in Washington state. I love quiet nights in with movies as much as I like late nights with music, friends, and adventures. My favorite activies when traveling usually revolve around food. My least favorite activity when traveling is shopping. I am a slow reader so I love audiobooks. I love to cook and learn about the food culture of a place. I like to spend as much time outside as I can, though I will take snow/rain over heat any day.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Trying to meet new and interesting people as I travel, using CS as often as possible. At the moment I am not able to host but I really would like to be able to in the near future.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, so good. I haven't hosted through the site yet but have been fortunate enough to be hosted in a couple different places. Have met some wonderful people and hope to meet even more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Completed a full Vipassana meditation course (about 12 days in total of living like a monk, in noble silence) in the foothills of the Himalaya. I had no interest or experience in meditation but agreed to go and it changed my life, but maybe not in a way I could have expected or anticipated.
