I am planning a trip to Brazil in March and I've always been interested in CouchSurfing but I've never gotten the courage to do it! Since I've read everywhere about the wonderful customs and energy of Brazilians, I would love to get to spend some time immersed in the local culture. Is there a better way?

I like EDM and Dub but there is good music out of each genre.
When it comes to movie, I devour every recommendation i get from friends or tops or i stumble upon. I do have a hard time stomaching movies pre '70.
I am a big Tolkien fan, have been known to read some romanian police novels but nowadays I enjoy SF books.
