I am planning a trip to Brazil in March and I've always been interested in CouchSurfing but I've never gotten the courage to do it! Since I've read everywhere about the wonderful customs and energy of Brazilians, I would love to get to spend some time immersed in the local culture. Is there a better way?

I'm a philosophy major and i've always been a fan of anthropology, ethics and the generally what makes the world keep spinning. My curiosity regarding human diversity stretched into technology, history, religious studies, and maybe surprisingly: reality shows. I want to know everything that people do all over the world, all the time!

When it comes to movie, I devour every recommendation i get from friends or tops or i stumble upon. I do have a hard time stomaching movies pre '70.
I am a big Tolkien fan, have been known to read some romanian police novels but nowadays I enjoy SF books.
