Hello, we are Sabrina (33) and Sabine (29), a couple from Austria. We are travelling through Central/South America. We started our trip at the end of March in Mexico and are currently in Ecuador.

We hope to meet a lot of local people and to dive into their cultures - learning about traditions, food, music :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love the idea of couchsurfing! It’s just a whole other experience to live with locals than to be in hostels with other travellers. Learning about their culture, language, day by day activities, hearing about their believes and experiences in life. It’s the REAL inside into a foreign country and that‘s what we want to experience on our trip!

Interests

Sabrina’s passion are cats and the love to all animals. She owns cats herself who are taken care by her sister while we travel.
Sabine owns two chinchillas (Ghosty & Banshee) and they are the most important thing in her life besides music and family.

Since we will travel for a whole year, we are very interested in learning Spanish. we are addicted to our Duolingo app but would prefer a face-to-face conversation of course :)

Music, Movies, and Books

we basically listen to every kind of music. From Metal (Nightwish, Eluveitie, etc), over Pop, Hip Hop, to classical music, Psytrance….

What we’re currently watching on Netflix is “Jane the Virgin” and „RuPaul’s Drag Race”.

Sabine plays the guitar, the piano, accordion and drums and would love to share her skills with you.

Sabrina is a trained animal keeper and worked in a cat shelter the last 3 years. Any questions about the behavior/illness of cats or other animals? She can help :)
