Hello! I'm in my late 20s and just coming into starting my life. I've had a pretty rough go, but I believe it's made me into a pretty resilient, interesting, and fun person to be around. My life is settled now, and that means I'm chasing adventure.
I work as a waitress, and am planning to study mid 2025. Until then, I want to experience things I've never done before, and meet all sorts of new people.
As for my interests, I love reading, am an avid writer, love watching movies, going to the gym, looking after my plants, and playing card games/board games. I love socialising as much as I love my down time to chill out and spend time being quiet. I'm a huge animal lover, with two cats I'll be leaving with my roommates while I'm away. As such, I don't really eat meat aside from the occasional bit of seafood. I was vegan for 5 years, so if you are a vegan household I'd have no issues eating vegan along with you (:
Have a varied taste in music, from grunge to metal to jazz and funk, going to gigs is super fun, and something I need to do more of!
If you enjoy a nice long chat over some wine, or just like having someone come along with you to things, then you've met the right person.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I've decided to embark on a trip I kept putting off for the longest time, as I never felt ready. I'm going to be travelling to a few continents over the course of 5 months, which is both scary and really exciting! I've travelled before, but nothing like this.
I think couch surfing would be the best way to meet other down to earth people, and is a bit more interesting than staying in a stale hotel. Wherever I go, I like to stay there as people live, and immerse myself fully.
On this trip I'm starting in Vietnam, Thailand, Jordan, a little bit all over Europe (Spain, Romania, and Croatia are all definite, everything else I'm leaving up to the feel of the moment) and then I'm hopefully planning to finish in Mexico. Some places I've been before, some I have not, but it would great to make friends in every single spot!

Music I explained above, right now I'm definitely in a grunge phase. Guess I'm only just now getting into Nirvana in my late 20s! I appreciate any recommendations.
Movies I love anything that's low budget, introspective, and thoughtful. Two of my favourite films from the last couple of years were Joyland and After Sun. I can enjoy fun stuff too, don't worry! I love watching comedy, and Love Lies Bleeding is the first film I can think of that I had a really good time with recently. I love a silly action movie, anything with Nick Cage. Need more recommendations for older films, too.

Books wise! I love reading, I do it every morning with my coffee. My favourite book I've read this year was The Bee Sting - Paul Murray. Great book, really long and in depth, which I seem to prefer. Right now I'm reading The Name of the Rose, which is another challenge in itself. Books set in historical times are pretty fascinating to me.

Hard to say, really. I think I've not done many insane, crazy things, but get me chatting and I'll probably remember something that seems normal to me, and crazy to you. I've definitely got a lot of stories to share.

Would love to learn a new language. Spanish is something I've attempted to learn (as I went through a long phase of watching Spanish TV shows, and loved them) and I'm very proficient in English!
I do love to draw, and would be happy to read any poetry or writing you have that needs a fresh eye. I'm a GREAT cook, that's the one thing I'll happily brag about, and I'm also great at teaching cooking, too. I've taught many friends some fundamentals, and I'm good at explaining why you need to do certain things in cooking in order to learn.

I've had a few people in my life tell me they really appreciate my insights, thoughtfulness, and kindness, and so that is something I hope I can give to you.
