我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I find myself all over the Caribbean lately. Whether it's after boat deliveries or charters or just because. I like to spend some time in each place, learn a bit about the cultures, meet new people and explore.

兴趣

I love water sports, and really most other sports. I'm a bit competitive, even with myself. Sailing is most certainly my favourite activity, whether it's racing, cruising or work-related.

As a person, who has lived on a boat since I was 5, I have to keep my boat floating and going. So, I have learned through the apprenticeship with my father and things generally breaking, to be self-sustaining. As a result, I have come to realise my talent and intrigue with mechanics.

I don't have any prefered genres of music, but I do favourite those that get you dancing!
I love fantasy novels and movies most of all, but I also enjoy any adventure and comedy plot.

When I was 8 years old, my parents and I crossed the Atlantic ocean on our 40 ft steel sailing yacht from South Africa. Spent 14 days at sea, without land in sight, until we reached Saint Helena Island in the middle of the Atlantic. After 2 weeks of exploring and making friends, we set off again to Brazil. That time it was 16 days at sea. I didn't get sea sick once.
