Hi there, I'm Sabrina from Montreal, Canada and I'm very very new to the CouchSurfing community. I heard about it from a friend when I mentioned my upcoming travel plans and I think it's such a simple yet effective way of meeting locals!
A little bit about me; I just graduated from my bachelor's in Animal Science at McGill University, and am now awaiting entry into a Master's program in Occupational Therapy. I plan to work with kids with behavioral/neurodevelopmental issues once I graduate. I also plan to implement my love for dogs and animals in general to practice animal therapy.
I've worked as a research assistant for 2 years, before that, I worked at a Costco as a cashier, and before that, yes, McDonald's.

I want to start traveling more as soon as possible, since I've heard nothing but amazing stories from people who've decided to venture out on their own or with friends into the world with a low budget and an empty photo album ready to be filled.
I'm more on the shy side, and this will allow me to branch out and meet strangers who I'm sure will turn out to be valued friends.

I'm into alternative rock music, such as Mumford and Sons, Hey Rosetta, and Of Monsters and Men. I do enjoy pop culture, as well as EDM (Avicii (RIP), Kygo).

In terms of movies, I enjoy rom-coms, sci-fi (Marvel fan), and comedies. Favorite movie is the Breakfast Club. I hate horror movies. With a passion.

I used to be a big book worm, and I promised myself I would get back into it this summer. I'm also into spiritual/philosophical themes, and enjoy deep conversations in that domain.

I've recently done an internship at Hope For Wildlife in Seaforth, Nova Scotia. It's a rehabilitation centre for wildlife that are brought in either orphaned or injured and brought back to health before being released back to where they were found.
This is where I developed my love for raccoons. Ask me about this and I will not shut up about those amazing creatures I warn you now.
I also had hands-on experience with eagles, falcons, foxes, squirrels, seals, deer and skunks!
This internship taught me a lot about life and death, as well as the community that forms when all members support a common cause to do good.
It was also a stunning landscape right near the ocean, a place where I feel most at home.
**You might just see me on TV! The rehab has a show and yours truly might make the cut on a few episodes in the upcoming season ;)

I also took a course on the Milky Way and the formation and death of stars, which is so cool and I love sharing what I've learned.
