About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Taste as many beers out there as possible

ABOUT ME

Fun couple who enjoy tasting the flavours of the world and meeting new people. We both love animals.

Him:Hmm, "all about me". I think I saw that on a t-shirt once, but it didn`t come in blue.
After cooking for 7 years I decided that this ultimately stressful, badly paying lifestyle wasn`t for me and I`m now studying carpentry with the hopes to one day build my own `live off the fat of the land` homestead.

Her: Love travelling, a long time ago took a break from college and worked for Club Med and travelled the Caribbean for 4 years...I am a Licensed Practical Nurse , a mom to 2 pugs and 2 cats. Love walking around, talking to people and making connections.
PHILOSOPHY

Her:If it feels good do it!
Him: Hard work makes a happy man. Love what you do and it'll love you back. Some homebrew helps a little, too!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Him: I spent half of my college days on someones couch. It seems relevant to find which country has the most comfortable one.
Travelled for a week through Belgium and couchsurfed for the first time- very excellent! And a solitary night in Paris with someone who became a close friend.
Her: Hosted a few people when I was living on my own, great way to help out and meet new people.

We surf and we will host as soon as the house is renovated.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Him: couch surfed through Belgium, once in France
Her: Has hosted a few times, surfed in Philadelphia

Interests

Him:I love traditional ways of living and farming: how creative people could be with inventing tools and cooking.I was born on a small farm and I want to learn all about farm life so that I can build my own self-sufficient homestead. I love building things out of wood and making them absolutely as perfect as possible-I used to be a neurotic perfectionist when I was a cook, now I realise that perfection will come in good time with patience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Her:All kinds of music, movies ( specially non-mainstream movies )and books, give me new suggestions for the above and we will be fast friends...

Him: Mark Twain tickles my satiric dark side and Perfume by Patrick Suskind is one of the best books ever written even though the movie was terrible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Her:I worked as a G.O. for Club Med, this way I got to travel a bit of the Caribbean..it was awesome!Volunteered in Dominican Republic as a student nurse, travelled in Costa Rica and fell in love with the country.

Him: I saw two goat rams duke it out on a hill at sunset in Bordeaux. Nature is awesome!!
