ABOUT ME

Hello! I was born in Canada, in the province of Québec.

To say a bit more about me, in college, I studied arts and theater and I fell in love with the drama ! Then, I got my degree in literature and I completed a diploma in journalism. About my character, I might say I am a shy person, but this do not give away that I enjoy completely to socialize and I dearly love to laugh. :)

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short, so let's smile and enjoy as much as it is possible ! Also, travel as much as possible, and learn about culture with the eyes and the heart of the people who live there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I register on couchsurfing two years ago and I had wonderful experience with two perfects hosts. At home, my roommate, who introduced me to the wonderful experience of couchsurfing, accepted many couchsurfers, so I had many great meetings.

Interests

I'm rather curious about everything. I love to travel, for many reasons, and mostly for the awesome people I can meet. I like to spend my time with friends, or to read, write, read and read !

To learn languages is also one of my numerous goals in my life. First, Spanish. I am a total beginner in the learning of this beautiful language. I would love to meet people with who I could practice! I will keep going on Mandarin, which I speak better than Spanish, for now.

I also enjoy very much movies, environmement, astronomy and outdoor activities, such as hiking and ice skating.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies so the following list is only a tiny selection of my favorites ones ;
Movies from the cineast Wes Anderson (The Darjeeling Limited and the Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou), The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, A Little Princess, The Godfather trilogy, The Fall (2006), Movies from Jim Jarmusch (One Night on Earth).

In music, I love rock as much as classical music. Recently, I discovered some animations movies from Miyazaki and well, I could not hold myself to listen to some soundtrack for hours from Totoro or Nausicaa.

I love books. Completely. With all my heart. This year let me discover Jane Austen. I am the type of reader who has fell in love with Mr. Darcy. Yup! I like also other kind of lectures, sush as Harry Potter, all the Tolkien's books, L'écume des jours de Boris Vian, Anne Rice's books and more !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can say my time in Taiwan was a great one. I was in a very different culture than mine, and people are so kind and generous. Sometime, an other vision of the life than I am used to can be understand.
