Hey !! We are Sacha and Jeanne, a French couple currently travelling in Brasil. We plan to travel for about a year in South America, to discover different cultures, learn new languages, and take a break from work. The timing was perfect as both our contracts were ending at the same time, in september 2024, so we decided to travel for a while. We also felt a bit "off", wanting to do meaningfull things but not knowing "how" or "what". We believe that woofing experiences could help us to find an answer to these questions, while learning new skills, new languages, as well as meeting new people with other experience of life!!

Jeanne: I am 25 and I work in cultural communication. I speak English, French, a bit of Spanish, and my Portuguese is starting to get better. I love seeing movies, going to jazz concerts and all sorts of cultural events. I'm used to travelling using platforms such as Couchsurfing, I did a solo tour of Europe last year. I love animals and I am sensitive to the subject of the environment, which is why I became a vegetarian about five years ago. I am not sure of what I want to do in life yet, but I’m curious about everything and I want to do my best to try and learn new skills!

Sacha: I am 24 years old and I am ( or was?) a cyber security engineer. I also have a master degree in computer science and telecommunications. As I love to explain technical things that I’ve learn dyring my studies or work in a simple way, if you have interest in any of these fields, please reach out! I speak English, French, and a little bit Portuguese. I love to hike, listen to music (jazz, samba, funk …), play guitar or read books (I am into 20th century literature). I'm also used to travelling by myself (using hostels or Couchsurfing as well). I have lived in Norway for six months last year, which was a very enriching - and cold - experience! I love animals, and especially dogs, which seem to feel it as they are often following me everywhere.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As we both used Couchsurfing for travelling in Europe and were super happy about the experience, we would like to do it again, but together this time. This app has helped us meeting incredibly nice and kind people, while getting a better idea of the local culture. We are also looking to developp our spanish and portuguese, so meeting natives and chat with them is probably the best thing to do.
