In Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay right now (Jan/Feb 2026)

I'm 36 years old, I grew up in Vorarlberg (western Austria) but we moved to Salzburg when I was little. After finishing school I worked as Au-Pair for several months in Australia and Luxembourg, then I studied Linguistics in Salzburg. Afterwards I decided to travel again (Australia and New Zealand) for a few months. Then I started to work for a car rental company in Salzburg but I just had to go on another big trip, so I quit my job and explored South America for 8 months. ^^ Since ten years now I work as a secretary in the English and American Department of the University in Salzburg. But again, I had to go on another trip, so I took a "sabbatical" and right now I am travelling through South America again for a few weeks, love it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is just the best experience you can make, I love meeting new people and seeing new places and I think with the help of locals you have the best chances to enjoy a wonderful time in a foreign country and you get to see things you would never experience as "normal" tourist!
