About Me

IF YOU WANT TO SEND ME A REQUEST READ THIS

1. Where I actually live
I live in Armenia, up north, in a town called Alaverdi, about 4 hours away from Yerevan. Please, look at the map beforehand and think if making this journey - and sending me a request - is feasible in the amount of days you are planning to stay in the country.

2. Who I actually want to host
I would prefer to host people who looked at the map and did some reading about Armenia, subsequently got interested in this particular area where I happen to live and were pleasantly surprised to find a host in such a small and a remote town, where they really want to go - to see everything it has to offer.

3. Who else I don't mind hosting
I'm also willing to accept requests from people who just feel my town would be a cool place to spend a few days at, since it is so conveniently located on their way. I'm ready to assist those who're looking mostly for a couch to sleep on, if it makes sense for them to travel in the direction of my couch.

4. What I expect to see in a couch request
DO: say hi, using or simply omitting my name, tell me your name and where you're from, add one or two personal things about yourself, for example, interests we have in common or a couple of words about your life story, and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, tell me about your reasons for wanting to visit Armenia in general and my town in particular, give me a rough description of the route you planned and the activities you would like to do.
DON'T: change my name into something it isn't, call me anything but my name, send me one-liners consisting solely of "hi how are you" without any actual information about yourself or your trip, skip reading my profile first, especially this and "my home" section.

CURRENT MISSION

To live my life and think about it.

ABOUT ME

Hello people!
A chatty recluse, writer, grammar fan, sleepwalker, lousy but persisent hill climber, skilled and experienced knitter, cat owner. That briefly sums it up.
I:
Don't stand racism or nationalism
Don't appreciate sexism
Don't hold homophobia in respect
Don't do sport, it ruined my childhood
Don't drink, it ruined my childhood

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I actually stick to ordinary stuff.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can turn you into a master of yarn and crochet, spoil you with Russian swearwords, show you the most disgusting spam on the internet, tell you all you didn't want to know about brake pads and steering columns, teach you how to perform miracles with MS Paint and torture you with conditional sentences.

I welcome people who want to show me secret paths, teach me how to differentiate between a turtle and a tortoise, talk for hours about their favorite subject and torture me with conditional sentences.
