Good mood and healthy body. Following what I really want to do in life - includes dance/movement, working with people, be as free as I want but not selfish to others. More practical: survive the day-to-day rat race between work and other interests :D

ABOUT ME

I'm sort of a silent person with loud voice. Surrounded by talkative people I start to talk too, and especially about dancing, food, books, music, and animals.

Most of the time I'm satisfied with everything in my silent way. I'm a loyal teamplayer and value my (and others) independence.

I find humour almost everywhere even I'm sort of a serious person. Sarcasm, puns and hidden humour gives me a good laughter.

Some people say this cake is not as innocent as it looks like... ;)

My dance&choreography website is under construction. Despite my degree, I'm working in another area, keeping my artistic part alive and I give dance classes: I am a Dance of Life ® teacher and give also contemporary dance workshops.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By hosting, surfing, posting into forums. I haven't hosted or surfed for a while due to changing circumstances, but I'm always open for it. At the moment definitely up for meeting travelers and locals, hosting might be possible. It is the entire philosophy behind Couchsurfing that makes me feel that I'm participating even in the more quiet periods.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been hosting and hosted, and everything has gone well, but adventures have definitely been involved. All the stories I've heard tell the same: world is a small place and everything we do affects something or someone. That is why we need to take care of each other.

I like realistic and artistic books and films. Music: Elvis Presley, folk music (of any country...), hard rock, Irish, African music... but I listen almost all kinds of music. David Bowie, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Hedningarna, John Grant, Arctic Monkeys... Why pick only one when you can have them all?

Some movies: Amelie, Sweeney Todd, Edward the Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, Shrek, Lorenzo's oil, Time of gypsies, California Dreamin', Satin Rouge, The Black Cat White Cat, Gadjo dilo, Pedro Almodovar's films, Marvel films.

Some books: Thousand Splendid Suns (Tuhat loistavaa aurinkoa), On the road (Matkalla), Pakomatkalla (Infidelity), Arosusi (Steppenwolf), Random Family: Love, drugs, trouble and coming of age in the Bronx (Vapauden vangit. Kotipaikka: Bronx), Virginia Woolf's books.

Series: Lately I have watched more series than ever and liked some of them, for example Altered Carbon, Sense8, Lucifer, Orange is the New Black, Stranger Things, Daredevil, Jessica Jones. Old favourites are Big Bang Theory, Friends, Sex and the City.

Developing every day... it is amazing.

Becoming an aunt.

Living in Portugal at the moment.

Performing at a festival and in a parade in Shanghai.

EVS and all that couchsurfing in Romania. Lots of amazing, new experiences there that left me bitten by the travel-bug.

Four week's language course in Moscow is one of the most memorable periods in my life.

I realized how beautiful my hometown is - just before I was again leaving.

Life itself.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Everyone has something to learn, share and teach. I can teach Finnish folk dances. I like vegetarian food and improve my cooking skills, preferably in a good company :) I think I have already gathered some experience in life and self-development, so maybe we can exchange some learnings...
