About Me

I have grown up in Oklahoma and went to The University of Oklahoma for two years. I will be getting my degree in dental hygiene. This year I decided I needed to take a year off and moved to California. Now I am traveling around to gain experiences I can't find in school. I am very family oriented and love spending time with my siblings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to find a group of people like myself; fun, adventurous, loves company. I am always looking for ways to meet new people so how awesome is it to be traveling and be able to stay with locals who love travelers?!

Interests

I enjoy any type of adventure, mostly ones that involve the outdoors. Wake boarding, snow boarding, hiking, scuba diving, soccer, drawing, reading, and skydiving are a few of my hobbies. Here in Oklahoma we are landlocked so finding the crazy adventures takes a road trip which developed my love of traveling. I like to think I'm pretty athletic so I'm all in for any pick up game of any sport. I can't go a day without my caffeine fix so I'm always up for a trip to the coffee shop. Supporter of clean oceans and LGBT.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: I pretty much like any music that doesn't hurt my ears.
MOVIES: Pirates of the Caribbean is my all time favorite, the Goonies, Harry Potter, I Am Legend, Lord of the Rings, Chasing Mavericks.
Books: The Glass Castle, Gone Girl, The Bible, Harry Potter, The Last Song.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I went to Haiti to help with the earthquake disaster. During that time I didn't shower for 9 days. It was pretty gnarly

Teach, Learn, Share

Being out of my comfort zone really enables me to get my learning senses tingling. It's harder to check out that way. I am always accepting of critiques and advice and I'm not afraid to give some advice of my own to others. Teaching is one way to give and receive at the same time because you take away the happiness of being able to give someone your knowledge. And for sharing, it's just caring.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a very positive, laid back attitude. I pretty much go with the flow. I love sitting down and talking with people, hearing their stories and sharing mine.
