ABOUT ME

Right now I'm trying to build up a life through work and education. I am a Ph.D. student in Social Psychology as well as an English as a Second Language teacher for children and adolescents. I like reading, writing, playing piano, dancing, hanging out with friends, juggling with fire and with poi, and hicking (I'm a nature lover). I also love feminist and queer activism, which are an important part of my life.
I have 3 life passions: travelling (that's why I'm here, right? :P), learning (from books, classes, friends and experiences) and nature (I couldn't live without a periodical trip to a non urban place).

PHILOSOPHY

I'm actually a very rational person struggling to become a little more spontaneous, so my personal philosophy is kind of learning to have fun, chill out and enjoy things while they last.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently interested in surfing and also in guiding people around the city, although I may be able to host if I get the time for it. I really believe that travelling and moving around the world shouldn't be as expensive as it is. Besides, I really think that the best way of travelling is doing it with people from the place you're visiting, because that's the best way to get to know a country, a city, and its inhabitants. I think that the CS Project helps people around the world accomplish they dream of travelling, and getting to know people from the places their visit, not only buildings and museums...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed quite a lot in a road trip with my friends on 2011. Right know I'm not really travelling much, although I have short trips whenever I get the chance!
I've never hosted anyone but some of my friends have, and they all got great experiences from it.

I'm interested in meeting people around the world. I think that this is what most helps people undertanding each others, opening their minds to everything possible, and learning a little more about human beings...

音乐、电影和书籍

- My favourite movies: The Hours, Chicago, Tipping the Velvet, Todo Sobre Mi Madre (All About My Mother), For Colored Girls.
- My favourite Books: The Color Purple, The Hours, The Pillars of the Earth.
- Music: I love diffrent types of music, from jazz (specially traditional jazz) to pop, although I'm not really kind on commercial music. I also love a particular music style from my country, "rumba catalana".

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Well I can't really chose a single thing I've seen or done. I loved the Grand Canyon, the Niagara Falls, the Wieliczka salt mines in Poland, the Stonehenge, the Algonquin Park in Ontario, Yosemity Park in the US... As you can see, mostly natural landscapes, although I also love visiting cities and meeting locals :)

I love History, so I usually know lots of interesting historical facts from the place I live. So I am also itnerested in learning this kind of facts from the places I visit.

I can share a lot of knowledge about Barcelona and its surroundings, since I love history and strange facts about places. I also can share some Catalan and Spanish, as well as a lot of eating and drinking culture! :)
