Hello my fellows CS's!! 😊 My name is Safa, from Lebanon. I'm currently in my third year of PhD in civil engineering in one of the most beautiful cities in France : Bordeaux 👌.

I just turned 30 this year...needless to say been rethinking my all my life choices😜 and one of them being not taking enough time during three years to explore more amazing countries...enter couchsurfing!!

I believe traveling is one of the most rewarding and life-changing experiences and gift you can give yourself.. Coming to France on my own and living in a foreign country Helped shape me into who i am today,, which is someone who is open, understanding, non judgmental and infinitely curious about the world and its people,, while also staying true to my values and who i really am.

I'd like to think of myself as an extroverted introvert, i can wander endlessly on my own, but i also need my dose of quality, engaging and fun interactions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that the best way to truly experience a new country and culture is through the eyes of a local. Also, being the extroverted introvert that i am, I'm hoping it will be make get out of my confort zone and connect, and hopefully make friends, with people from all over the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Left my, job, family, volunteer work and life in Lebanon and came alone to France to pursued my PhD just before covid hit! 😂 Wasn't easy but I'm grateful for it

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Arabic, French, random science stuff, first aid since i was an emergency medical technician with the Red Cross. I can share with you some stories of my experiences and travels, give you my humble big sister advice in life, share my culture both in Lebanon and in France.

What I Can Share with Hosts

All the above! Moreover, I'll respect you, your boundaries and your place and treat it as if it were mine, (I'll even do the dishes). I only ask for your kindness and your respect in return. I'm happy to wander on my own and to get together in the morning for a cup of coffee or in the evening for dinner, or spend the day together exploring if the time and situation permits.
PS: i don't drink or smoke (at all) and I'm not a party girl, but i can still appreciate a fun night out 😁 (with reasonable hours haha)
