Travel is my passion, people, culture and languages are my interests and combining the two is my mission!

ABOUT ME

I have just started travelling again after 6 months off to earn a bit of money. I am travelling by myself at the moment which is great most of the time because absolute freedom is exhilarating! I love the challenge of getting to some random far flung place, chatting to complete strangers and always making new friends along the way, although when I do end up getting myself lost it sucks not been able to blame a partner in crime!! I'm 5 foot nothing and love a good laugh. I also love trekking and walking getting my little legs pumping! I could continuously spend a whole days in the ocean and whole months in the jungle. Cities are great for a little while but nature is where 'its' at!! Oh and food you will never find me far from the epi centre of food in which ever country I visit. mmmmmm right now I can smell the hawker markets from the window!!!

PHILOSOPHY

The age old Think Positive, smile for no reason and learn like you will live forever - live like you will die tomorrow all come to mind. Basically try and bring joy to my life and anyone else willing to accept it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is my very first time on this site - I think that it will be a brilliant way to meet locals - to learn some of their culture and share a bit of mine (yes Aussies have culture!). Even simply just to have a good conversation and laugh with a potential friend.

Interests

Art - drawing/painting, scuba diving (although have not done for long time and last time i did it i accidentley kicked my instructor in the head and gave him a mild case of the benze after dropping my weights - hhmmm embarrassing!), rock climbing, attempting to learn Spanish, chocolate, anything outdoors, op shopping....

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - anything BUT horror's or movies where everyone dies accept one person who comes back for the sequal only to die!! No siree give me a happy ending everytime or at least a poetic one! Have to say Love Actually and The Fifth Element are favourites.
Music - depends on my mood but love the feel good, the rock/alternate. Was listening to Oasis, Rhianna and My Chem Romanace on the train today!
Books - Sword of Truth by Terry Goodking is a great series, Bill Bryson brilliant and funny writer, Isobel Carmody great fantasy writer, The Other Hand, One Day always open to suggestions infact encourage them!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Arriving in Finisterra (Northern Spain) after walking the 1097Km's of Camino De Santiago from Seville (Southern Spain)for 2 months non-stop and watching the sun set over the western most point of Europe :)

Languages - Obviousley am happy to help in anyway possible with English - Spanish is one of my life goals to achieve and any other language that comes my way
Sharing my travel experiences and hearing others - also open to ANYTHING that makes a backpack lighter other then leaving it at home!!
