Student from India, currently touring Europe. Finally getting to do something I always "thought" I liked., now that I'm doing it, I'm loving it. I like to believe I'm a fun person who is always respectful, holding a good sense of humour. Techie trying to get into management, I've worked for some big names in technology industry. In sports I'm a die hard football/soccer fan, couldn't cut it as a player so got a coaching license instead, just to be connected to the game. Adventure junkie, recent exploits include cliff jumping and cliff climbing at Cape Greco in Cyprus. I love to trek. Now comes the most important part, I like to experience different culture, coming from India this part is bit easy for me. Meeting new people experiencing their way of life, connecting with them and making friends all over the world is my motto.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Only recently did I really start my travels and I realised that these travels mean nothing if there are memories associated with them. For me memories are centred around people. And couch surfing allows to meet people who can be a part of those memories. I want to look back at travels and associate places I visited with the people I interacted with. I hope couchsurfing would help in that aspect. Also as the saying goes, "When in Rome, be like Romans", well maybe on couchsurfing I can find locals who can help me be a local in a foreign land.

I love instrumental music then followed by country music and alternative rock. But its safe to say, I love just about any type of music. I a big fan of movies, favourite genre are comedy, thriller and Nolan. Books, my favourite is The Alchemist, but then favourite author is Jeffery Archer. I also like non-fiction books provided they pique my interest in first 20 pages.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In India for government jobs we have to give exams which are computer based. This applies even for physically challenged candidates. I volunteered as a scribe for a blind candidate, a lady who had undergone a divorce had a young kid and was in her 40s, basically getting a government job was the only way she could secure herself. Due to her age, it was her last chance. So, to cut long story short, I worked with her and we were able to clear two levels of the exam, drawing confidence from that she was able to ace her interview and landed a job as an officer in a public sector bank. I have never been proud of myself in my entire life, but this incident made me feel good about myself. For me this is the most amazing thing, I've ever done.
